Ramleela after witnessing a pompous entry into the 100 crore club, has so far made a lifetime income of 101 crores at the domestic box office. The film that was made on an estimated budget of 35 crores, has so far raked up a profit of 66 crores. Taking the film profit rate to 188%, the film has surpassed Jolly LLB and Murder 3‘s Profit Rate as well at the box office.
However, it is a challenge for the film to surpass the profit rate of Chennai Express. Having the inherent advantage of being a Shah Rukh khan starrer and a Rohit Shetty directorial, the film with a lifetime run of 226.70 crores, garnered a profit rate 202%. Though the mark won’t be extremely difficult for Ramleela, but given that it will be entering its third week, there is a good chance that the film will fail to beat Chennai Express‘ profit.
