Tigmanshu Dhulia shot to fame when his directorial Paan Singh Tomar shot to tremendous fame in both domestic and international arena. However, with his commercial outing Bullett Raja, the director went wrong both in terms of content and box office earning, it seems. The film that was made on an estimated budget 50 crores did a lifetime business of 33 crores at the domestic box office.

The film incurred a massive loss of 17 crores especially due to its higher investment. Resting on the fourth position on Koimoi’s list of 2013’s major flops, the film ousted Gori Tere Pyaar Mein!‘s loss margin.
