Brothers made quite a good business on its Day 1 i.e. 1st Friday at the Domestic Box Office.This Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra action drama collected 15.20 crores nett on its opening day.
This Karan Malhotra directorial stands as second highest opening day grosser of 2015 and Akshay Kumar’s biggest opening of all time. Bajrangi Bhaijaan had taken an opening of 27.25 crores, while ABCD 2 had raked in 14.30 crores on its Day 1.

The film though picked up in the evening shows, couldn’t really do best overall in multiplexes of metro cities. Single screens did well, but considering the film’s overall aspects, it should have taken a bigger opening. Due to mixed reports from theatres across the country, it remains to be seen how well the film does on Independence Day holiday today (Saturday).
