Join UsWith Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 ruling the Box Office, it has been pretty much a one horse race in theaters. Combined collections of another new release Wedding Pullav and holdover releases Jazbaa, Singh Is Bliing and Talvar is just around 2 crore which pretty much tells the tale.
Here is the update:
Wedding Pullav couldn’t grow at all on Saturday. With first day being disastrous, the second day wasn’t any better. The film has managed less than 50 lakhs in its first two days.
Jazbaa stayed brought in around 95 lakhs on Saturday. The film has so far collected 23.3 crore.
Talvar added another 70 lacs to its kitty and stands at 27.15 crore currently.
Singh Is Bliing is almost through with its theatrical run. With minimal collections on Friday and Saturday (around 75 lakhs), the film stands at 90.25 crore
If one discounts Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 then by and large it has been a very poor weekend at the Box Office. Daily capacity in theaters screening Hindi films is over 50 crore and to have just around 10 crore come in (from films playing currently) pretty much conveys that overall occupancy is just 20%.
A point to ponder indeed!
