Baaghi 2 continued to rake in moolah in its third week as well, as a result of which the film’s total so far now reads 160 crore*. The film had field open for itself especially at the single screens where there wasn’t much of a competition. Even at multiplexes it had a fair hold despite the arrival of Varun Dhawan’s October as a result of which the collections came out reasonable.
The film will have a fair run in its fourth week as well since there is just one Hindi release, Nanu Ki Jaanu. Around 5 crore more are expected to come in and after that it could well be a close for the film since the latest instalment of Avengers would be arriving next Friday.
Nonetheless, post that it would be time for the film to explore audiences on digital and satellite medium. Traditionally, producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s films have done well on television since they cater to family audiences. Last year’s Judwaa 2 is continuing to break many records in any case. Also, Tiger Shroff has very good popularity on the small screen too, as evidenced with the super success of A Flying Jatt which was a flop in theaters but a super hit on satellite. Now that there is a film like Ahmed Khan’s Baaghi 2 coming in which brings in the right combination of actor, producer and genre, expect new records.
