Join UsTwo new releases of the week are Fukrey & Ankur Arora Murder Case and frankly none of these are looking at setting the box office on fire from Day One itself. Both films are backed by reputed filmmakers though. While Fukrey has Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani as the producers, Ankur Arora Murder Case has Vikram Bhatt attached to it.
One has to hand it over to Excel though for promoting Fukrey reasonably well and ensuring decent visibility. On the other hand since Ankur Arora Murder Case boasts of a niche and offbeat subject, the promotion has been very controlled.
This would have a telling on the opening though and Fukrey is all set to take a better opening than Ankur Arora Murder Case. Still, this is expected on a relative scale since all said and done, it is Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani which would enjoy the best collections out of all the films in the running. Even in its third weekend, the Karan Johar production is expected to lead from the front which means both Fukrey and Ankur Arora Murder Case would have to be really good films to edge their way ahead in weeks to follow.
