Join UsAlmost one and a half years after Mirzya, Harshvardhan Kapoor is now returning with Bhavesh Joshi Superhero. Both films are remarkably different from each other. While Mirzya had a fantasy element attached to it, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero is a realistic drama. It also has a lot to do with the film’s director Vikramaditya Motwane who has all this while made films in a real zone.
That said, from the commercial standpoint, one waits to see a Box Office success from the director who has made Udaan, Lootera and Trapped in the past. While each of the three films has been critically hailed, one waits to see audiences walk in hordes towards theaters. One hopes that happens for Bhavesh Joshi Superhero since it is by far Vikramaditya’s most commercial film till date, what with quintessential elements of hero, villain and an inherent drama.
The film is seeing a restricted release for itself and hence the opening day number is expected to be in 1.50-2 crore range. That said, even if this number comes in, it would be some sort of a beginning as at least there would be a platform to grow. Back then when Mirzya had released, it had netted 1.75 crore despite all the backing, publicity and hype around Harshvardhan’s launch. Now if this Eros, Phantom and Reliance film can get such a number on Friday, it would be fair enough since there is also going to be competition from Veere Di Wedding as well as Parmanu – The Pokhran Story.
