This Friday box office will see the release of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor’s 102 Not Out, directed by Umesh Shukla. The theatrical trailer of the film found acceptance from a limited section of audience, and by the looks of it, the film seems to be appealing to the families of India, especially in the metros.

Basically, it is a multiplex oriented film, which would take a slow start at the ticket window, however if the reports around the film prove to be positive, the biz would multiple over the weekend.

Just like a lot of Amitabh Bachchan films that have released this decade, the opening of 102 Not Out is expected to be in the range of Rs 3.50 to 4.50 crore, which is a fair start given the budget and star-cast of the film. After the day one, the film would be targeting an opening weekend in the range of Rs 13 to 15 crore.

However, the major obstacle for 102 Not Out would be in the form of Avengers: Infinity War, which is expected to retain major screens across the multiplexes in India, so the above numbers would be possible only if 102 Not Out manages to get respectable show-casing the country.

Box-Office Prediction: 102 Not Out to Open In The Same Range as Other Amitabh Bachchan Films this Decade!
Box Office Prediction: 102 Not Out To Open In The Same Range As Other Amitabh Bachchan Films This Decade!

The pairing of Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor has created a certain amount of excitement among audience aging 60+, and if the film is good, we expect it to record a steady run at the Box-Office as major chunk of the fan-following of these two stars would prefer to enjoy their retirement life by watching the film on the weekdays.

Essentially, the fate of 102 Not Not depends on the word of mouth, and the inside reports suggest that the makers are extremely confident about the content of the film. Only time shall say, if the producer confidence resonates with the audience word of mouth.
