Box Office: Parmanu-The Story Of Pokhran Opens Better Than Expected

Box Office: Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran has taken a better than expected start. Since the film had just two week promotion window and the subject too isn’t the kind that has universal appeal, it was expected that the film would open in 3-4 crore range. However, the start has been much better, what with 4.82 crore coming in.

Of course, given the kind of star presence it boasts of [John Abraham] and the canvas that it has been made, a higher number would have been preferable. Still, the start is there and moreover since the content by director Abhishek Sharma has been largely appreciated, the stage has been set.

As has been the case with majority of films released in 2018, word of mouth is what’s driving them all on Saturday and Sunday. This is what’s going to work in favor of Parmanu – The Story of Pokhran as well which is now set to grow further today. There would be growth tomorrow as well though in evening and night shows an impact would be felt due to IPL finals.

Still, an entire week is open ahead of it and by the look of things, Parmanu- The Story of Pokhran should emerge as yet another success this winning season.
