Downward slide of Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 has continued right through the week, except for a good opening day and a little impetus it got on the Republic Day. As a result, the first week collections of the film now read a modest 29.5 crore*. This is disappointing when one compares this with the opening day which was 8.15 crore. For the film to do just 3.5 times the business of the opening day in next six days, and that too with a big national holiday in between, reflects the manner in which it has been rejected by the audience.

What is further noticeable is the fact that these numbers are lesser than even Wazir which wasn’t much appreciated either and had closed its Week One at 30.05 crore. Considering the fact that the Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar starrer had opened at 5.57 crore, those numbers look much better. However, the trending of Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 has been outright low, as a result of which the film has failed to touch the 30 crore mark.

The film is hardly in the running in the second week. With Airlift still running strong, Mastizaade – a film belonging to the same genre – getting a good release, and Saala Khadoos earning rave reviews already, it is curtains for Bollywood’s first porn-com. As things stand today, the film would have a lifetime run of around 33 crore, which would be way lesser than what Kya Super Kool Hain Hum [45.14 crore] had earned.

*Final numbers awaited
