Kapoor And Sons is continuing with a very steady run in the second week as well. The film was ultra-strong yesterday too and brought in 4.4 crore more. With this, the collections have surpassed the 50 crore mark, and now stand at 51.33 crore. The film will now collect around 10 crore more between today and tomorrow and that would take it past the 60 crore mark.
It is now a given that the film would cross the lifetime collections of Neerja and the next targets would be other multiplex grossers like Dil Dhadakne Do [78 crore] and Piku [80 crore].

Talking of Neerja, it has now emerged as a Blockbuster success. The film has already collected 75 crore in 36 days and the way it is going, the lifetime collections should be around 76 crore. The film’s landing cost is 21 crore (including Cost of Production and Print & Advertising) and it has already gained 11 crore through sales of various rights (satellite, music and the rest). It needed to recover the remaining 10 crore through theatrical business and with 76 crore coming in just from India, the film has more than multiplied its revenue.

The film has entered 6th week on select screens and it would be interesting to see if it goes on to celebrate 50 days at the Box Office.
