The last time Bollywood smiled, it was after the opening weekend of Udta Punjab which turned out to be really good. After that it has been a constant downhill as neither Udta Punjab managed to hold on well, nor the new releases did anything even remotely close to ordinary.
After half a dozen flops/disasters in the week gone by, the new week hasn’t started on a better note either, what with Shorgul not managing to collect anything substantial. That always seemed to be the case, courtesy the miniscule release that it got in theaters due to reasons best known to those associated with it.

The Jimmy Sheirgill and Ashutosh Rana starrer would have to really see a massive push over the weekend, though it is an unlikely scenario since its release couldn’t have been worse timed. Yes, it is a solo arrival, but unfortunately has only 5 days for itself. Ditto for Kerry On Kutton which was even lesser and may struggle to find itself in the running on Monday and Tuesday.
From Wednesday onwards though, expect fireworks all around as Sultan hits the screens. The film has been hyped in a manner a Salman Khan starrer is expected to, and that would ensure that the deficit which has piled up so far in last few days would be wiped off to a major extent in the first 3-4 days of its run itself.
