It’s been a good year so far for Indian films at the worldwide box office. In a couple of weeks, the first quarter of 2024 will end, and we have already got 7 films crossing the global 100 crore mark. In terms of collection, Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter is at the top of the list with a total of over 350 crores gross. Teja Sajja’s HanuMan is in the second position. Keep reading to know more!
Out of 7 films in the list of 100 crore grossers at the worldwide box office, Bollywood has left its mark with 3 films. Tollywood has 2 films in the form of HanuMan and Guntur Kaaram. Even Mollywood is in full form this year, as there are 2 Malayalam films on the list. If collection is arranged in descending order, Fighter bags the top spot by a considerable margin.
Bollywood dominates the list!
As mentioned above, Bollywood has 3 films on the list. The first entrant was Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, which was released ahead of the Republic Day holiday. As expected, it crossed the 100-crore mark like a cakewalk. As per the last update, it stands at 351.75 crores gross at the worldwide box office.

The second entrant took everyone by surprise as it was Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The film wasn’t expected to earn much, but still, it has earned an impressive 143.66 crore gross so far. The recent entrant is Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s Shaitaan. Currently, it stands at 110.42 crores gross.
Tollywood’s contribution
From Tollywood, the first entrant was Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram. However, it lost its steam sooner than expected and ended up earning 181.86 crores gross at the worldwide box office. Teja Sajja’s HanuMan enjoyed its steady and glorious run and ended up posting a blockbuster total of 294.18 crores gross.
Mollywood’s winning streak
The Malayalam film industry is shining like a bright star in 2024. One after another, it has delivered global successes. Talking about global 100 crore grossers, Manjummel Boys was the first entrant on the list and currently stands at a staggering 175.10 crores gross. The recent entrant was Premalu, which is still running in theatres and currently stands at 104.90 crores gross.
