As individual films, Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani must be busy locking horns. However, together they have managed to score the BIGGEST OPENING WEEKEND ever for Bollywood.
With Dilwale scoring 64.09 crore and Bajirao Mastani speeding to the 46.77 crore mark, the combined collections of the two films read as 111.86 crore. With this, the long standing BIGGEST OPENING WEEKEND record of Dhoom 3 [107.61 crore] has been quashed.
Of course, this record was scored two years back and with a lesser screen count than what Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani managed. However, in terms of absolute numbers which are ultimately registered in the record books, it is the newer releases that are at the top now.
