Blackmail Box Office Collections Day 5: Maintains A Stable Trend!

Blackmail Box Office Collections Day 5: Irrfan Khan’s quirky comedy Blackmail which opened to great reviews by the critics and audience ended it’s 1st weekend on the right note. The movie did witness a drop on Monday but has maintained to remain stable on its 1st Tuesday.

Blackmail recorded decent opening numbers by collecting 2.81 crores on Friday. The film showcased a growth on Saturday by collecting 3.85 crores and 4.56 crores on Sunday, taking the weekend total collection to 11.22 crores.

On its 1st Monday at the box office, the film collected 1.68 crores. Without falling further, it went on to earn 1.52 crores on its 1st Tuesday. This dark comedy has minted 14.42 crores till date at the ticket window. The film has been locking horns with films like Raid, Hichki and Baaghi 2 at the box office. This Friday the film will compete with Varun Dhawan’s much-awaited film October.

In the film, Irrfan Khan portrays the character of Dev, who is so engrossed in his work that he can barely make time for his wife. One day when he decides to surprise her by going home early with a bouquet of flowers, he is left shocked to watch his wife in bed with her ex-lover. While normally a man would opt for two options either kill his wife or kill his wife’s lover, Dev aka Irrfan decides to blackmail the wife’s lover.

Not only the film but even Irrfan Khan has been appreciated by many Bollywood biggies and audience for portraying an unusual and complex role with ease.
