Bhoothnath Returns though failed to begin excessively well at the box office, what with collecting just 3.50 crores on Day 1, the movie picked up quite impressively on its second day. On its 1st Saturday, the film made a business of 5.70 crores and with that the film now rests at a domestic total of 9.20 crores at the box office.
Amitabh Bachchan and Parth Bhalerao’s enticing camaraderie helps the film’s plot. So far, the word of the mouth has been nearly terrific. But the film released in merely 1300 screens and that is hindering it to soar in terms of number.

Though a little on the preachier and sappier lines, critics haven’t shunned the film rather suggested that it is well-timed with sincere attempt on part of its makers and more importantly the story’s heart being in the right place.
