Almost all the movies releasing this week witnessed pretty bad openings. However, if you look at main stream cinema Ram Gopal Varma‘s Bhoot Returns was expected to perform way better than it did (ofcourse by its makers.)
And with Bhoot Returns seems there will be another flop in Ramu’s Kitty. It seems he’s on some flop streak and won’t just give up. His last release Department had also bombed pretty bad at the box office.
Bhoot Returns grossed about 1.40 Crores as per early estimates on its opening day at the domestic box office. The movie has done pretty poorly in multiplexes and only single screen theaters are saving its day. North Indian singles screens have shown a better response which is a pretty good symbol.
If Bhoot Returns is to save itself from the “FLOP” tag, it will have to do a lot better on the weekend, which honestly is quite doubtful. Negative reviews and word of mouth are sure to take its toll on the film. With decent reviews, Aiyyaa is sure to burn holes into the box office collections of RGV’s flick.
