Bharat Box Office (Worldwide): This Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer has done pretty well at the Box Office even though it couldn’t meet the high expectations trade had from it. The film opened to a historic response but due to mixed response from the public, it couldn’t sustain those levels and started dropping pretty rapidly.

The film earned 209.36 crores* at the domestic Box Office and has now crossed 300 crore mark at the Worldwide level. Yes, that’s true.

Bharat is the official Hindi remake of Korean film Ode To My Father and covers the journey of a man and a nation together. Jackie Shroff plays the role of Bharat’s father in the film.

A special screening of Bharat was hosted for the families who experienced the events of 1947 and the partition recently. It was held via the 1947 Partition Archive organisation. According to a source, the screening featured seven families who had returned to India separately and reunited over a period of time.

Salman shared a photograph of himself on Twitter along with a couple of senior citizens aged between 75-80 years-old and their family members. He captioned it: “Special screening of Bharat for the real families who experienced the events of 1947 and the partition. Honoured to meet all of them! Salute to the real ‘Bharat‘ families.”
