Besharam Scores Well On Day 1 (Wednesday) At The Box Office

Ranbir Kapoor has been having a great year so far. With Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani matching the collections of Bollywood’s biggest superstars’ records, Besharam too began its first day on a brilliant note. The first day domestic collections has settled in the range of 20.50 crores at the Box Office.

With the widest release ever recorded by a Bollywood film, the release cashed on well the perks of releasing on a national holiday. Being a non festive holiday, the film’s occupancy was above 90%-95% mostly.

Today, being a working day, the collections will see a heavy drop. An overtly heavy negative word of the mouth is prevailing for the movie, which might deter the film’s expected growth at the box office. Though most critics have slammed the film, it can be agreed that it is a passable entertainer which has released at a wicked time, with no huge releases in the vicinity. Ranbir’s fan following will help the film’s collections to swell but mostly it won’t record the ground shattering box office moolah that was expected from it.
