After enjoying a healthy extended weekend, John Abraham starrer Batla House has witnessed a normal weekday drop and if compared with Sunday’s collection, it has managed to stay reasonably good.

Batla House added 47.99 crores in its 4-day extended weekend and has managed to score a half-century on the fifth day. As per the early trends coming in, Batla House has collected 4.50-5.50 crores, thus taking the total in the range of 52.49-53.49 crores.

The movie has stayed quite good on its first weekday when compared with Sunday’s collection of 12.70 crores. It has chance to chunk out some good amount given there is no big competition until Saaho arrives in the next week.

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, Batla House is inspired by the alleged police encounter in Delhi in the wake of the 2008 serial blasts. John essays the character of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who spearheaded the operation.

Before the release of the movie, the Delhi High Court’s green signal to “Batla House“, on which John Abraham said that he would not look at the whole process as a victim.

Sharing his thoughts on this, John told the media here: “If you have a point of view or you want to raise an issue, you must, because democracy is all about that.”
