Barfi! continued to do exceptionally well, making an approx 6.00 Crores on it’s 1st Tuesday at the Box Office. The movie had made a 6.50 Crores on it’s 1st Monday and Tuesday was a small drop in comparison. However, the collections in no way can be termed as bad for a multiplex starrer.
The Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer now stands at a domestic box office total of 47.10 Crores. Barfi has also made another 13 plus Crores at the overseas box office. This brings up the worldwide box office collections of this cute love story to 60.1 Crores. Thanks to the genre of the film, it has a far better overseas box office collection than many other movies released in the recent past.
From the looks of it Barfi! is sure to complete it’s 1st week with 55 plus Crores. The movie might gross a few more Crores than the last big release Raaz 3. Anurag Basu seems to have a good grasp of the urban crowds and served just the right thing on their platter. Needless to mention again, Barfi is doing exceptional business in most of the urban centres.
This week’s release Heroine might take its toll on Barfi! but the movie is set to do good business for 2 more days. Overall, Ranbir is all set for a roll. Besides the box office collections, he’s also got critical acclaim for his role. Can it get better? Way to go Ranbir!
