Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has become the fourth Bollywood film to collect over USD $30 million (195.59 crore) from the overseas market. The other films which have collected more than USD $30 million outside India are Dangal, Secret Superstar, PK and Dhoom 3.

Basically, Salman Khan has become only the second star after Aamir Khan to attain this feat. In the first phase of its release in the overseas market, Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected $29 million, thereby becoming the highest grossing Hindi film of all time in the overseas market at the time of its release. The film released in China on 2nd March 2018 collected USD $ 2.24 million (14.61 crores) on its opening day, thereby crossing the coveted USD $ 30 million mark in the overseas market.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan China Box Office: Salman Khan Starrer Becomes The 4th Film To Attain This Historic Feat!

The opening day collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China are remarkable considering factors like Salman Khan’s debut film, delayed release, piracy and lesser screen count as compared to Dangal and Secret Superstar. However, to the films’ benefit, the Chinese market became more receptive to Indian films after the success of Dangal and Secret Superstar.

In China, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has surpassed the lifetime collections of films like Baahubali (USD $ 1.17 million), Fan (USD $ 0.23 million), My Name Is Khan (USD $ 0.07 million) and Happy New Year (USD $ 0.40 million) on its opening day itself and it is expected to go past the collections of Dhoom 3 (USD $ 3.23 million) and 3 Idiots (USD $2.91 million) by the end of the second day. The movie has been received with positive reviews from audience and critics alike and the opening weekend of the human drama is predicted to be around USD $9 million (58.67 crores)
