Avengers: Age Of Ultron Picks Up On Day 2 (1st Saturday) | India Box Office Collections

Avengers : Age Of Ultron had a bumper opening on day one, however, the film couldn’t pick up more on the second day. The Hollywood flick was affected by Nepal earthquake, thus, affecting the collections in surrounding areas in India. Since malls and cinemas were shut due to tremors felt in areas, the film dipped in northern belts.

In spite of having a non holiday release, the film had opened huge with 10.95 crs (updated collections) and with Saturday collections coming to 11.85 crores, the film now stands with a total collection of 22.80 crores at the domestic box office.

The Hollywood superhero drama has a huge fan base in India and hence the film is performing extremely well at the multiplexes in urban centers. What is shocking is that, in just two days, the film has beaten the opening weekend collections of films such as Shamitabh, NH10, Mr X, Alone, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy, Ek Paheli Leela, and Tevar. This is an alarming situation for Bollywood since the recent releases have been extremely flat at the box office.
