Article 15 Box Office Day 2 Early Trends: Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15 is going great guns at the Box Office. The film started on a decent note on Friday as it earned 5.02 crores. It was 2nd best opening of Ayushmann after Badhaai Ho.

Thanks to the positive word of mouth, the film showed a very good jump on Saturday. The morning occupancy were 30-40% and the good trend followed throughout the day.

As per early trends, Article 15 has collected 7-8 crores on Saturday which takes the total business in 12-13 crores range. Another jump in the collections today will take the weekend business to a much healthier note, however, Ind vs Eng match can prove to be a roadblock. Protests against the film in some parts of the country are also causing problems. Yesterday, the screening of the film was forcefully stopped in Kanpur by a religious group.

A group entered the Inox multiplex and Sapna Palace theatres on Friday and stopped the screening of the film. They shouted slogans against the filmmaker and also tore posters.

Anticipating further trouble, the exhibitors held a meeting on Saturday and decided to put the screening of the film on hold till adequate security is provided.

Nevertheless, going by the trends so far, Article 15 seems to have got its target audience’s acceptance and the film will be steady on weekdays. Now all eyes are on a good first week and lifetime numbers.
