On day 13, the movie has crossed the 50 crore mark at the ticket windows and joined the list of the most successful outings of 2019.
On second Wednesday i.e. day 13, Article 15 added another 1.35 crores and took the grand total to 50.83 crores. Made on a budget of 25 crores, the movie earned ROI (Return Of Investment) of 25.83 crores, thus yielding a profit of 103.32%. With such profit, Article 15 is the 8th most successful Bollywood movie of 2019. It’s all set to surpass Kesari’s 104% by today.
Directed by Anubhav Sinha, Article 15 aims to remind people about Article 15 of the Constitution which prohibits any discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth, and how its value has been forgotten.
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is currently being lauded for his performance in “Article 15“, considers the movie as one of the most important projects in Indian cinema.
