Join UsThe last time Akshay Kumar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Eros came together, they delivered a solid hit in the form of Housefull 2 [2012].
The film went past the 100 crore mark quite comfortably and also marked the entry of Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala in the 100 crore club. Eros already had one in the form of Ra.One and with Housefull 2, they got another one to their name.
Now trade is positive that while yet another 100 crore success is a given for Housefull 3, there could be a lot more moolah added to the total. Reasons are aplenty:
– Akshay Kumar is in great form and is enjoying added credibility like never before. His Airlift was a very big success despite its offbeat theme
– A comedy like Housefull is pretty much a home territory for Akshay Kumar. From Hera Pheri to Housefull 3, there have been many memorable comic roles enacted by the actor
– Sajid Nadiadwala has elevated his position to being one of the most enterprising producers in Bollywood today. His films are taking respectable to excellent Box Office opening quite consistently
– Sajid has just delivered a big hit in the form of Baaghi. Obviously, his stocks are quite high in the trade circles
– Eros is picking and choosing films quite intelligently and 2015 was a landmark year for them with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Bajirao Mastani and Tanu Weds Manu Returns being three of the biggest blockbusters
– As a team, Akshay, Sajid and Eros have delivered many more successes in the past with a 100% track record. Housefull 3 could just be a logical extension of that
– The film is releasing right in the middle of summer vacations. Its family appeal and recall value amongst kids should work well for pan-India audience
– Housefull 3 is the first true multi-starrer of the year. With Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan in the cast, who have a very good track record in multi-starrers, the film becomes even bigger
– Inclusion of three gorgeous girls, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon, adds on to the glam quotient
– Housefull 3 is being given the biggest release of 2016 so far
All of this sets the stage for Housefull 3 to find a bumper response at the Box Office. All that needs to be seen is that Sajid-Farhad have indeed come up with a laugh-a-minute affair.
