The Akshay Kumar and John Abraham starrer Desi Boyz collected a good Rs. 28.25 crore (all-India net) over its first weekend at the box-office.
The opening response to Rohit Dhawan’s Desi Boyz may have been mixed but the film managed to net Rs. 9 crore on the first day in spite of the unnecessary ‘A’ certificate granted to the film (it deserved a ‘UA’ certificate, not an ‘A’ certificate). On Saturday, the collections went up slightly to Rs. 9.25 crore. The collections on Sunday were Rs. 10 crore, taking the 3-day total to Rs. 28.25 crore.
