Join UsAe Dil Hai Mushkil is just few lakhs away from entering the 100 crore club. With collections to the tune of 2.55 crore on Monday, it stands with the total of 99.70 crore. Karan Johar and Fox are all set to pop the champagne now, as the milestone is almost accomplished by the team.
No one other than Ranbir Kapoor would be the happiest of them all as he now has another century to his name, albeit after a long gap. There was a series of mishaps for him over the past [Roy, Bombay Velvet, Besharam] and while Tamasha did allow him to hold on to his stand to some extent, what he needed was a biggie. Well, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil may not have been his Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani moment but still, for someone who would have liked at least a hit against his name, the film has done its job. The youngster has managed to entice audience all over again, and that too with a clash, and could well celebrate now!
As for Anushka Sharma, she has been enjoying some good times at the Box Office, considering a better ratio of smart choices that she is making. Leaving aside a Bombay Velvet, Anushka has been doing well to pick up the likes of Sultan and PK, all big grossers, in addition to niche affairs like Dil Dhadakne Do. Meanwhile, a film like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil only allows her to reach out to class as well as mass audience, hence allowing her to stay on in the top league of the game.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too would be happy to have a larger audience base watch her on the big screen, after her films like Jazbaa and Sarbjit played only to a small segment. Yes, her part is limited in the film but still, a success is a success and the fact that a good population has now seen her all over again, this could well be her true comeback!
