In eight days flat, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is now neck to neck with the lifetime total of Fan [85 crore]. The film brought in 4.56 crore more on Friday and with that, the overall collections so far stand at 84.75 crore*. The Karan Johar directed film has managed to hold itself well in the second weekend too and now it would be interesting to see when does it hit the 100 crore mark. Though a century would be scored by Monday, it would be a stretch to manage that by Sunday itself. However if that actually happen, it would be a feat indeed. The film is on the way to being a Hit and now one waits to see how much further does it go from here.
Shivaay has managed to touch the 4.61 crore mark on Friday and that has been a fine hold as well. The film is currently at 75.02 crore and with that it has gone past the lifetime total of Kapoor & Sons [73.3 crore]. From trivia perspective this is special since Kapoor & Sons had Rishi Kapoor as the central character and now his son Ranbir Kapoor is in the ring with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which is running alongside Shivaay. The Ajay Devgn starrer would go past the lifetime collections of Baaghi [76 crore] and Neerja [75.65 crore] today and it is pretty much expected that it would also cross Fan [85 crore] by end of weekend.

With no competition right through the second week for both the films, one just looks forward to the eventual distance that the big Diwali releases cover this year.
