Ittefaq, along with trending strong at the box office has crossed a little milestone at the box office. The movie has crossed the lifetime collections of Sidharth Malhotra, Jacqueline Fernandez’s A Gentleman.
Ittefaq has collected 2 crores on its 1st Tuesday taking the grand total to 20.30 crores. A Gentleman which was released earlier this year collected 19.82 crores during its lifetime.
The next target for Ittefaq is Baar Baar Dekho which stands at 30.90 crores. It would be tough to surpass this but trending shows it has the potential. Ittefaq‘s box office collections deserve to celebrated as they are purely on word of mouth. Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha didn’t give any interview or attended any event.

“We want to protect the intrigue, mystery and thrilling point of the film. When actors go out for film promotions that time in a media interview, they reveal facts and details of the plot. So, B.R. Films, Shah Rukh Khan and myself, we all have mutually decided to protect the content of the film,” Karan Johar clarified on no promotional strategy.

Though Ittefaq could prove to be a decent fare but Sidharth Malhotra needs to pull up his socks for giving a high earning grosser. His contemporary Varun Dhawan who started his career with Sidharth has a 100% track record at the box office. Varun Dhawan gave Judwaa 2 this year which collected 138 crores.
The 100-minute crime thriller, the trailer of which released on Thursday, revolves around two murders and two suspects of the event where one police officer struggles through an investigation to unveil the truth.
While the film is an adaptation of the 1969 Rajesh Khanna and Nanda starrer, according to Juno (Creative Producer), the story was ahead of its time and it was quite an interesting process to set the film in the modern time.
