Talking about the current phase, Akshay Kumar has not delivered a single unsuccessful film since the release of Singh Is Bliing on 2nd October 2015. To put things to perspective, Akshay Kumar has not delivered an outright unsuccessful film for 963 days and counting. After Singh Is Bliing, Akshay delivered 5 back to back HIT films in the form of Airlift, Housefull 3, Rustom, Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and a moderately successful film in the form of Padman. Although Padman wasn’t an outright hit, no distributors lost money from the film as Sony Pictures managed to break even. Although he hasn’t delivered hit films of huge magnitude i.e. the massive blockbusters, he has a solid volume of hit films, which is commendable.

Kumar has an interesting slate of films ahead and he has indeed taken a step further by signing on for big budget event films like 2.0, Kesari and Housefull 4. Apart from the three event films, he has reportedly also come on board for Hera Pheri 3 which is another exciting film on card. Till date, Akshay is on a streak of delivering 6 back to back successful films, and if his next four films i.e. GOLD, Kesari, Housefull 4 and Hera Pheri 3 strike gold at the ticket window, he will become one of those rare Indian stars to have delivered 10 back to back successful films.
