Bajirao Mastani Finds A Positive Response | Day 1 Occupancy Update

A lot was on stake for Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Eros, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra when it came to Bajirao Mastani. After all, this is one of the biggest ever films for them, and especially for Bhansali and Ranveer, this is as gigantic as it gets. Well, they can now heave a sigh of relief as the film has met with a positive response, as far as the morning shows are concerned.

This is a kind of film that grows primarily towards the evening shows and then over the weekend. Still, for the film to find an average occupancy around 50% with many centers doing even better means the stage has been set for it to grow further. Of course, this occupancy had also been made possible due to its divided release, considering competiton with another biggie Dilwale. Still, with the right opening being managed, the film finds itself on a solid footing now and hence 12-14 crore are on the cards for today.

The reviews have been all around positive for the film and for team, this is a tad better than even their last outing Ram Leela. While critical acclaim has come in, audience feedback would be more pronounced by the end of day. That said, the start that the film had gained and the positivity demonstrated so far indicates that Bajirao Mastani is in for a long haul with a three week open run till 7th January.
