2015’s Profit Rankings: Badlapur With 105%, NH10 With 147%, DLKH With 100% Profit

The first quarter of 2015 has been quite a difficult one at the box office with just three hits. Out of the films that released in the first quarter, three films performed strongly namely, Badlapur, Dum Laga Ke Haisha and NH10.

Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur was the first hit of the year. Made on a decent budget of 25 crores, the film made a collection of 51.40 crores at the domestic box office, thus taking its profit percentage to 105.60%. It is now the second highest profitable venture of the year so far.

Second film to have made it to the profit list is Ayushmann Khurrana starrer film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. The Yash Raj film was made on a minimum budget of 15 cores. After being acclaimed by the critics, the film doubled its investments as it collected 30 crores at the domestic box office, thus taking its profit percentage to 100%. This is the third highest profitable venture of the first quarter.

Becoming the highest profitable venture till now, Anushka Sharma’s NH10 was made on a minimal budget of 13 crores. The film collected 32.10 crores at the domestic box office. The film’s profit percentage is approximately 146.92% to 147%.
