Emerging as the 2nd highest grosser of 2014, the film is also the second entrant into the 100 crore club this year after Jai Ho slogged its way through it. Made on a tight budget of nearly 35 crores, the film is a superhit in the domestic arena already. Its performance overseas is fantabulous as well, what with the film earning nearly 33.50 crores gross overseas at the draw of its third week at the box office.
The film has so far raked up USD 5.6 million from its key circuits in the international market. From U.S.A & Canada, the film made USD 2.8 million at the conclusion of its 3 week run at the box office.

The film earned from its U.A.E and G.C.C circuit nearly 1.23 million dollars over 3 weeks. While in U.K, the film recorded USD 806,ooo and in Australia the film earned another 379,000 USD.

The film’s miraculous success will be instrumental in boosting the brand value of its lead actors Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor for whom this is the first of their terrific successes at the box office.
With Arjun shifting his attention towards his next Finding Fanny which is in post-production and his father’s film Tevar with Sonakshi Sinha, Alia is currently working with Varun Dhawan on Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.
