After the blockbuster success of Pathaan, Yash Raj Films is currently working on War 2 and Pathaan 2. Siddharth Anand’s 2023 outing witnessed the collaboration between SRK and Salman for the first time. It will now be interesting to see how their connection is built with Hrithik Roshan. But it looks like fans will have to wait to see the trio because the studios have different plans for Salman Khan.
YRF is mindful of Tiger’s star power!
A source close to Bollywood Hungama reveals, “Of the 5 films made in the Spy Universe to date, four have featured Tiger. The Team at YRF feels that there is enough of Tiger and he should mark a return to the universe at the most crucial juncture now. Having random cameos in feature films will dilute the power of Tiger as a standalone character. He has discussed the larger plans for Tiger with Salman Khan and even he is on the same page.”

The report further states that Salman Khan is tired of doing cameos and wants to do a meaty role now. And his decision not to star in War 2 and Pathaan 2 is in sync with Aditya Chopra, who does not want to use the crossover as a gimmick to sell movies. It will now be interesting to note how Salman makes his comeback in the spy universe, and it will indeed be a special one.

Meanwhile, Salman was last seen in Tiger 3. The film, directed by Maneesh Sharma, also featured Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the leading roles. It was a losing affair at the box office with a total collection of 286 crores.
Tiger 3 was released on November 12, 2024.
