Dharma Productions has dropped the trailer of Yodha starring Sidharth Malhotra, Rashi Khanna, and Disha Patani, also featuring a suave and smart Ronit Roy, and there is one fact that we need to address urgently. In fact, we can thank Karan Johar & Vishnu Vardhan for it – for discovering the perfect man to play a soldier on screen in the Shershah actor.

When Sid played Shershah with such brilliance, making every detail and nuance look surprisingly genuine, one might have thought it to be a fluke. But now, as he dons the uniform again, one can very well say that this might have been a successful discovery in finding the perfect soldier in him!

Yodha trailer has Sidharth Malhotra mouthing a line like “Main Rahoon Ya Naa Rahoon, Desh Hamesha Rahega,” and he impresses with this perfect and apt amount of nationalism. The trailer might be easily segregated into two sections – The deshbhakti and the action.

Surprisingly, the deshbhakti turns around the table in a twisted tale of a man gone rogue, and the story of his rage and revenge seems well-baked and promising. Coming to the action part, the glimpses definitely seem to offer the best in the business, and the Shershah actor’s hard work has not gone unnoticed – kudos to him for pulling off these stunts with utmost urgency and genuineness.

The best part of this trailer is that despite being a commercial masala film high on action sequences, it doesn’t feel dramatized, and you want to root for the story. But here comes the dicey part – the story that has been revealed way too much in this 2-minute 49-second trailer.

The actresses Rashi Khanna and Disha Patani have been presented in short glimpses in the trailer, but their roles seem to strengthen the narrative. All in all, Sidharth Malhotra might actually kickstart the blockbuster season of 2024.

I am looking forward to the film that currently seems to deliver its promise for a brilliant and one-of-its-kind aerial action. Yodha is ready to drop in theaters on March 15. Directed by Sagar Ambre & Pushkar Ojha, the film has been produced by Dharma Productions & Shashank Khaitan.
