It was recently when the news of a grand celebration in the pipeline as Yash Raj Films turns 50 broke in. The production giant was to announce a list of projects starring actors like Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Shah Rukh Khan and more. But now if the reports are to go by the event stands postponed.
Alongside the announcement of the films, it was also said that there was supposed to be a huge event with the above-mentioned actors and others who have worked with the banner in the past to celebrate 50 years of Yash Raj Films. But now with the pandemic showing no signs of taking a backseat and the lockdown being imposed, the grand celebration might get postponed.

Talking about the same, a source close to the development in a Bollywood Hungama report said, “Project 50 by Yash Raj Films was supposed to be a big event that would announce even bigger films, but with the lockdown, all plans for it have now been pushed. In fact, the studio was also recording messages from A-list actors who they have worked within the past, but that has also been affected due to the lockdown. In essence, all prep work for the grand celebrations has taken a hit, and has been pushed.”

Further opening-up if there is any date in the future that has been decided to take the plan ahead, the source said, “All projects, be it with Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif or anyone has been pushed. No date has been finalized yet, but the studio will make a decision based on the scenario once the lockdown has been lifted and things go back to normal.”
The source though revealed that Yash Raj Films is planning to announce the films under Project 50 in June and July. Adding that it is to early to talk about the individual projects, the source also conveyed that they don’t want to delay the celebration much.
