Vidya Balan in a recent interview said that she wouldn’t want to work with the Khans because there is very little to do in their films. Now with one of the year’s biggest films gearing up for release, when Koimoi caught up with Kick‘s lead actress Jacqueline Fernandez, the mention of this was inevitable.
We asked Jacqueline if she agrees that any actress has too little to do in a quintessential commercial formula based film and Fernandez’s take on it was entirely different. She earnestly replied, “I think it is necessary to embrace every single character. It’s up to you in your head eventually. How deep do you want to take that character is your job as an actor. Even if someone is playing a glamour doll, as an actor it depends on what have you created for that glamour doll. That is pretty much our job, we create and explore things, we perform them. It is essential that you do your bit is furthering this character.”
Jacqueline continued with, “It is important to grab every single character whether there is enough to do or not. With some exceptions, may be there has been a little less to do. But even if you have a little less to do, do a lot as an actor. There shouldn’t be anything that stops you from working with other actors. You can learn so much from different actors and you should never ever limit yourself.”
Kick starring Salman Khan alongside Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to release on 25th July.
