Will Ranbir Kapoor-Imran Khan & Deepika Padukone-Anushka Sharma Clash At The Box-Office?

The stage is set for the battle between the hottest youngsters in the B-town: Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan. Though both have usually steered clear of each other when it comes to films, Karan Johar may well play spoilsport as he has announced plans for Ranbir’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in January next year. What raises eyebrows is the fact that even Imran Khan’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandolais planned for the same month and hence a clash is imminent.

“It is rather surprising because generally two superstars try to avoid arriving close to each other as it unnecessarily diverts audience’s attention. Also, comparisons are obvious and while the clash becomes fodder for many, those involved with the films have to go an extra mile to make their arrival special. However, with Karan deciding that he would indeed bring Ranbir in January, it would be interesting to see what Vishal Bhardwaj (who is producing Matru…) will do now since he had announced his arrival first,” says a source.

“Not to forget Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma who are being pitched opposite each other as well”, the expert continues, “They are arch-rivals and vying for the same spots. The battle is on between them too.”

Well, with Karan Johar orchestrating a battle here (and that too after working with Imran in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu as well as Katrina Kaif in Agneepath very recently), it would indeed be interesting to see what the youngsters have to say about that.
