
Sonam Kapoor has made a name for herself as someone who speaks her mind and doesn’t bow down to others. Since debuting opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2007 romance drama Saawariya, Sonam starred in several films like Raanjhanaa, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Neerja, Mausam and Sanju, but often makes the headlines for things she does and say more that he work in films.
Today, we take you to 2011 when the actress was filming Pankaj Kapur’s romantic drama Mausam opposite Sonam Kapoor. The actress – who reportedly was once asked to leave after repeatedly arriving late for the film’s workshop of Mausam, once stormed off the set of this film and refused to do a song shoot in Chandigarh. Read on to know what happened and if her behavior was justified.
As per past media reports, the cast and crew of Pankaj Kapur’s romantic film were required to head to Chandigarh to shoot a musical for the film. For it, Sonam Kapoor arrived early in the north Indian city but was left irritated after finding herself with our a room or requirements. A source in the know about the incident – that ultimately resulted in the actress walking off the sets told Mumbai Mirror, “A few days ago the Mausam shoot was going on in Chandigarh. Sonam had to shoot for a song and had flown down to Chandigarh early morning. On reaching the hotel she found out that the room wasn’t booked and she had to wait for more than an hour till she was allotted one.”

The insider continued, “Sonam was all red by then. She immediately freshened up and reached the sets. On reaching she realised that her make-up man, vanity van, spot boy, all were missing.” Though angered at the disorganized shoot, Sonam Kapoor reportedly tried to stay calm but eventually stormed off the sets of the Shahid Kapoor co-starrer. The source added, “She still patiently made calls to the production house, asking its staff for her requirements. None of them reverted to her for the longest time. Result: Sonam stormed out from the sets and did not come for shooting.”
However, she did return to the sets and did her part. The tabloid noted the source saying, “Eventually in the evening, after pacifying calls were made to her by the crew, she returned on the sets and shot for the song.”
