Mahesh Bhatt has been making it to the headlines ever since the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Several have been accusing the filmmaker of being one of the reasons why Rhea Chakraborty left the late actor. If the rumour mill is to be further believed, it is being stated that Bhatt is also a driving force in Sushant’s death.

Several people are also drawing similarities between the way Sushant Singh Rajput was diagnosed with depression and the way veteran actress Parveen Babi died. Not to forget that both these actors have had some sort of direct or indirect connection with Bhatt. Now looks like the man has finally chosen to spill the beans on his relationship with the Naseeb actress.

A certain report in Mumbai Mirror has shared excerpts from an upcoming biography on the life of the celebrated Parveen Babi. Written by Karishma Upadhyay the book is titled ‘Parveen Babi’. It is from this book that the publication has quoted Mahesh Bhatt on his relationship with the late actress. Bhatt said that his visit to the residence of Parveen Babi was meant to be as a friend, but the mood soon began to shift. “That evening started off [with] two friends catching up, but the conversation kept getting deeper and the silences got comfortable. The attraction between us was palpable.”

The excerpt further states that while Mahesh Bhatt tried to restrain himself from the attraction because he was a married man, he could not hold back for long. “I might have parroted the whole narrative of free love, but I was held back by morality.”

Confessing that he decided to call it a night and began making his way to the door of the house, Mahesh Bhatt says that he soon realized that Parveen Babi did not follow him to the door. Instead, he heard her call out his name. “It was a long corridor from the living room to the main door. I was almost at the door, when I realized that Parveen hadn’t come to see me to the door. Just as I opened the main door, I heard her call my name. She was lying there on the bed, waiting for me. There was complete silence because there was no need for words anymore.”

The books narrates yet another instance of Mahesh Bhatt recounting an episode of an attack of schizophrenia Parveen Babi faced in his presence. Bhatt says that Babi was convinced that several industry folks including Amitabh Bachchan had planned to murder her by dropping a chandelier on her.
