Wheel Chair-Bound Shabana Attends Premiere Of ‘The Japanese Wife’

Shabana Azmi, in spite of being on a wheel chair due to a leg fracture, made it a point to attend the premiere of friend Aparna Sen’s The Japanese Wife. Although Shabana did not see the film at the premiere because she had seen it earlier, a host of other B-Town celebs watched it at a Bombay multiplex on April 7.

The first arrivals at the premiere were the director of the film, Aparna Sen, and daughter Konkona, who was wearing a white saree. Rahul Bose showed up wearing a dashing black suit. Among the guests were Ramesh Sippy and his wife, Kiran Juneja, Sandhya Mridul, Sudhir Mishra, Piyush Jha and Raima Sen. Ranvir Shorey was the last to arrive.

Actress Anjana Sukhani had come to see another show at the same multiplex, but was mistaken by the media as an invitee for the special show.
