Finally the wait is over and we’ll get to see Kunal Kapoor on screen once again. The last we saw of this handsome star was a blink-and-miss role in Welcome To Sajjanpur in 2008. So where has the cool Kapoor been all this while? Let’s find out…
The lanky star has not been sitting idle; he’s training for parkour, practicing on playing a singer and learning to fly airplanes! Now what does he need all that for? Well, the actor is preparing to play superhero in Anurag Kashyap’s Doga. We’re rubbing our hands with glee as the dashing actor is ready to pump some muscle for his role as the Raj Comics’ character. Kunal is training his vocal cords for Chamkila, a film based on the Punjabi music world.
Kunal is back to his rugged Rang De Basanti look for Rahul Dholakia’s Kashmir saga, Lamhaa (Watch Teaser), where he plays a militant-turned-youth-leader. The film also stars the gorgeous Bipasha Basu and Sanjay Dutt.
So, a terrorist, youth leader, superhero, singer, and what more? Kunal is giving his voice to the character of the noble king Ram in the animation flick, Mahayoddha Rama. Also on his plate are untitled projects with Abbas-Mustan and Ramesh Sippy-Rohit Shetty.
All that for later. Right now, we’re just waiting to see if his chemistry with Bipasha Basu works in Lamhaa on July 16, 2010.
