Weekend BO: Pyaar Ka Punchnama Makes 3 Crore; Pirates 5 Crore

Last Friday’s release Pyaar Ka Punchnama garnered a dull Rs. 3 crore (Rs.30 million) in all-India net collections over the weekend (May 20-22). The youth-comedy had opened to poor houses on Friday. Koimoi.com had predicted this fate in the film’s review itself.

The psychological thriller 404 also had to face empty seats in theatres across India. The film collected barely Rs. 1 crore (Rs. 10 million).

Pirates Rules

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides did good business, making Rs. 5 to 5.5 crore (Rs. 50 – 55 million) over the weekend. Both, the English and Hindi dubbed, versions of the film clicked at the box-office. ‘Pirates’ had taken a flying start on Friday.
