Karan Johar has decided to release his upcoming film We Are Family on the 2nd of September 2020 instead of the 3rd of September, as it was announced earlier. The director-producer wrote on his Twitter account, “‘We Are Family’ now releases on Thursday the 2nd of September in INDIA and the UAE!!! Thursday is Janmashtami!!!”

This is the second change in the release dates of the ‘We Are Family’. The film was initially slated to release with Salman Khan’s Dabangg but Karan pushed back the date fearing a clash. Karan need not worry so much about auspiciousness and star clashes if his film is well done!

The Kareena Kapoor, Kajol and Arjun Rampal starrer ‘We Are Family’ is the desi remake of the Hollywood film Stepmom which had Julia Roberts, Susan Sarandon and Ed Harris in the lead roles.
