Vidya Balan’s ‘Begum Jaan’ Will Have A Guest Appearance By This Senior Actor!

Vidya Balan will be next seen in National award winning Bengali director Srijit Mukherji’s film Begum Jaan. The film revolves around the trauma of a displaced women in a brothel during the time of partition. Vidya Balan plays the madame of the brothel.

Interestingly, it will have a guest appearance by Vidya’s Ishqiya co-star Naseeruddin Shah.

Confirming the news, producer Mukesh Bhatt said, “Naseer will make a special appearance but his character is pivotal to the plot. He has worked with us in Naajayaz (1995) and Sir (1993) in the past. We’ve always shared a special bond with him but we didn’t come across a story worthy enough to approach him before for an actor of his caliber.“

The film will go on floors mid June in Jharkhand where a huge set is being erected. Begum Jaan is being produced by Vishesh Films.
