Vidya Balan is going slow but successfully. Her last two Bollywood films Tumhari Sulu and Mission Mangal had quite a long gap but both proved to be successful. While Tumhari Sulu was a moderate success, Mission Mangal proved to be a huge one.

Now Vidya Balan is in news for her upcoming film which is a biopic of great mathematician Shakuntala Devi. The film which also stars Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh & Jisshu Sengupta has been creating buzz ever since its announcement.

The whole team of the film has been busy shooting recently from the past few months and a first look poster was released earlier in September.

Now the makers of Shakuntala Devi have finally shared the release date of the film and it is 8 May 2020.

Vidya Balan took to Twitter and shared a video in which she announced that the film will hit the cinemas 148 days from now. Along with the video she wrote, “Get ready to be enamoured by her wit, charm & of course, genius! Watch the video to know when #ShakuntalaDevi is coming to theatres near you!”

Earlier Vidya paid a tribute to the genius on her 90th birth anniversary by sharing a picture of the mathematician on Instagram.

“Charismatic, witty and exceptionally brilliant, she gave the world more reasons than one to be in awe with her! Remembering the extraordinary woman, #ShakuntalaDevi, on her 90th birth anniversary,” the actress wrote on Monday along with the picture.
