Veteran Comedian Deven Verma Passes Away On 2nd Dec

Veteran actor Deven Verma passed away on Tuesday morning in Pune. The 77 year old actor suffered from cardiac arrest and kidney failure. His funeral will take place at 12 noon today.

Verma was known for his excellent comic timing and has played iconic characters in films such as Golmaal, Angoor, Andaz Apna Apna, Dil Toh Paagal Hai, Ishq, Chamatkaar and many more.

The actor who worked with ace directors like Basu Chatterjee and Hrishikesh Mukherjee also won Filmfare Best Comedian Awards for his characters in Angoor, Chori Mera Naam and Chor Ke Ghar Chor.

Deven Verma is survived by his wife Rupa Ganguly, who is the daughter of late famous actor Ashok Kumar.
