The lockdown has turned out to be a nightmare for veteran actor Nafisa Ali Sodhi who is stuck in Goa with no medicines or essential stock. All of it is taking a toll on her health as she is a Cancer survivor. The actress in a report has opened up how she has ran out of food and things are just getting worse for her.

Nafisa Ali Sodhi who flew down to Goa to meet her daughter for a 10-day get away, got stuck there after the lockdown was announced by PM Narendra Modi. The 63-year-old cancer survivor who is stuck in Morjim is now left with no basic food and medicines.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Nafisa said, “The groceries shops are shut for the last six days. I’m a cancer survivor; I need to eat proper food. I’ve been eating just dry ration for the past many days — there are no vegetable, no fruits. We’re so cut off. I’m in Morjim and people here are having a terrible time. It’s only in Panjim that the situation is fine. My heart goes out to everyone.”

Explaining how medicines are important for her and they are only available in Panjim but she can’t reach there or ask for a delivery she further expressed how others as well in Morjim are having a terrible time.

She said, “The groceries shops are shut for the last six days. I’m a cancer survivor; I need to eat proper food. I’ve been eating just dry ration for the past many days — there are no vegetable, no fruits. We’re so cut off. I’m in Morjim and people here are having a terrible time. It’s only in Panjim that the situation is fine. My heart goes out to everyone.”

Nafisa also opened up on how her niece who came back from Switzerland to Bangalore was tested positive for COVID-19. She has recovered and completed her quarantine, the actress advised people to take precautions and not shy away from getting treated if there are any symptoms.
