Amitabh Bachchan – Jaya Bhaduri
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bhaduri first met in Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. According to Jaya Bhaduri it was love at first sight for her. They first acted together Bansi Birju (1972). Jaya proved to be lucky for Amitabh Bachchan when she signed on for Prakash Mehra’s Zanjeer (1973), which turned to be Amitabh’s first hit film. They got married in June 1973.
Rishi Kapoor – Neetu Singh
This couple set a perfect example of an ideal love story for the youth in 1970’s. Rishi and Neetu were seen opposite each other in numerous hit films like Khel Khel Mein (1975), Rafoo Chakkar (1976) and Amar Akbar Anthony (1977). After falling in love in films, the couple fell in love with each other in real life and tied the knot in 1981. Neetu was just 23 at that time. The couple was last seen in critically acclaimed film Do Dooni Chaar (2010), where it played role of struggling but happy middle class parents.
Ajay Devgan – Kajol
Their pairing opposite each other was loved by the audiences in 1998 hit film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha (Love is inevitable), and as the name suggests, they fell in love with each other in real life as well. Their relationship is counted among the most trustworthy relationships in Bollywood, as there has never been any gossip or controversy linked to it. Kajol and Ajay Devgan married in 1999. After tying the knot, they acted together in Raju Chacha (2000), U Me Aur Hum (2008) and Toonpur ka Superrhero (2010).
Abhishek Bachchan – Aishwarya Rai
Abhishek Bachchan was earlier engaged to actress Karisma Kapoor, while Aishwarya Rai reportedly dated Salman Khan for some years but destiny had other plans for both of them. Abhi-Ash, as they are popularly known, were seen opposite each other in other in Mani Ratnam’s Guru (2007) and were engaged shortly after the film released. After a little speculation they finally got married on 20 April 2007. After marriage, Abhishek and Aishwarya were seen together in Sarkar Raj (2008) and Raavan (2010). The couple was blessed with a baby girl on 16 November 2011.
Ritesh Deshmukh – Genelia D’ souza
Ritesh and Genelia made their Bollywood debuts together in Tujhe Meri Kasam (2003). It seems, eventually the two took the title of film seriously and fell in love. They kept their love story private till last year when they announced their plan to finally get hitched. The couple got married on 3 February 2012; the wedding was attended by very prominent political and film personalities. Ritesh and Genelia’s film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya is set to release on February 24 2012.
